Join us!
If you would like to join the team here, we are interested in learning about you. Here is who we are looking for:
We are not hiring now. We like to keep a list though, so write us and send us what you think we need to see.
- Women, people of color, and others (especially women of color) who have felt that the traditional structure of an architectural office is more than a little uncomfortable.
- People who know and are willing to acknowledge their strengths and weaknesses. If you have used the Clifton StrengthsFinder tool and can document the results, that is a bonus.
- People who are willing to look up, search out, ask about, and find the information they need.
- People who are aware of their personal cultural background and can thereby see the cultural framework of others.
- People willing to work in a collaborative environment where you take responsibility for what you have authority over and cooperate with others whose domains support or are supported by yours.
- People willing to learn about something before casting judgements about it. This suggest the ability to balance naive belief and cynical skepticism.
- People who are willing to work within a non-hierarchical structure. If you need an unstructured environment this is not the place for you. If you need someone to tell you what to do, this is not the place for you.
- People who are willing and able to communicate by whatever means works for the receiver.
- People who are interested in seeing that the company pays fairly, makes a profit and shares the profit fairly. This is not communism. Think of it as compassionate capitalism.
- People who are comfortable using or learning Apple Computers and the Vectorworks BIM program.
- People who are open to starting part time or on contract for a single project before becoming full time staff.
- People who are not finished forming themselves with education, licensure and life experience are welcome to apply.
